Information
Lymm Dam in Cheshire is a popular destination for pike fishing, with plenty of jacks backing up pike weighing over 25lb. Bay Malton Angling Club has invested a great deal of effort into the lake since acquiring the lease in 2007, creating stagings to enhance the fishing experience. The lake, which was originally formed in 1824 during the construction of a road through a sandstone valley, is considered a local beauty spot. Anglers looking to catch larger pike are advised to try fishing at the Dam Wall and the church swims. Live and dead coarse fish are prohibited as baits, so anglers must avoid using herring, mackerel, and lamprey. Despite these restrictions, Lymm Dam remains a popular and productive pike fishing destination.
