Information

Petersfinger Lakes is a well-maintained fishery that prioritizes the safety and wellbeing of its fish population. The fishery is surrounded by a complete 360 fence topped with electric wiring, ensuring that otters are deterred and fish are protected during floods, preventing escapades. The lakes are home to a wide variety of fish species, offering anglers a diverse and exciting fishing experience. One of the lakes within the fishery is Hands Lake, which provides anglers with varying depths to explore. Starting at 3 feet near the car park, the lake deepens to 10 feet at the far end, offering a range of environments for different fishing techniques. The presence of several islands in the lake provides shelter for fish, while overhanging trees create ideal angling spots for fishermen. Additionally, an artificial "floating island" has been introduced to help reduce nitrates in the water, contributing to the ecological balance of the lake. The natural beauty of Hands Lake is further enhanced by the presence of lilies, adding to the aesthetic appeal of the fishing environment. With species such as Carp, Tench, Bream, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Pike, and Eels thriving in the lake, anglers can expect a diverse and rewarding fishing experience at Petersfinger Lakes. Through their dedication to maintaining a safe and sustainable fishery, Petersfinger Lakes offers anglers a unique opportunity to fish in a well-protected and diverse ecosystem.
