Barden Lake is a popular and expansive mixed fishery spanning approximately 25 acres. The lake is known for its impressive population of large carp, with many anglers boasting catches of over 100 different double-figure carp in a season. The carp in Barden Lake typically range from twenties to thirties, with the occasional 40lb carp making an appearance. Additionally, anglers can find specimen tench and bream in double figures, with some anglers reporting enormous nets of bream exceeding 100lbs. The lake also holds large roach and rudd, although they can be more difficult to catch, dedicated anglers have been rewarded with spectacular results, such as one angler landing thirty roach in a single session, three of which were over 2lb. Perch and pike are also present in the lake and can be caught using noisy plugs. It is important to note that Barden Lake is both a member and day ticket water, with day tickets available for purchase on the bank from bailiffs. Overall, Barden Lake offers a diverse range of fishing opportunities and the chance for anglers to reel in some impressive catches.
