Whelford Pools Fisheries is a picturesque family-run day ticket water located in the stunning Cotswold countryside, nestled between the historic towns of Cirencester and Lechlade on Thames. The lakes at Whelford Pools Fisheries are teeming with a variety of fish, including large Carp, Tench, Roach, Perch, Pike, and Bream. The Day Ticket Lake is a well-established, mature lake covering 4 acres and divided into 3 areas of water connected by 2 channels. With around 35 swims that can comfortably accommodate a Bivi, including some double swims, anglers have plenty of options to choose from. The lake is beautifully landscaped with trees, shrubs, two islands, and various surface features like reed beds, lily pads, and rushes. The lake is home to approximately 800 Carp ranging from 12lb to 34lb, with many over 20lb and several known 30-pounders. Carp are caught here regularly throughout the year, providing anglers with numerous opportunities for multiple catches. In addition to Carp, anglers can also find Pike weighing up to 22lb, Perch up to 3lb 8oz, Roach up to 2lb 9oz, Specimen Tench up to 12lb, and Bream up to 10lb. The Syndicate Lake, a charming 3-acre lake with depths reaching 12ft, features numerous underwater features and an island. This lake is home to around 120 Carp, with the biggest weighing up to 36lb, including 8 known 30-pounders and 65 known 20-pounders. Unlike the Day Ticket Lake, the Syndicate Lake is exclusive to only 24 members per year, with no day tickets available.
