Located on the A4 between Hungerford and Newbury, the River Kennet chalk stream is known for its crystal clear waters, making it the perfect spot for chalk stream fishing. Barton Court Fishery offers the opportunity to book the fishery for the day, with a total cost of £150 for up to 10 people. Additional individuals can be added for £15 per person. A variety of species can be caught while chalk stream coarse fishing on the River Kennet, including Bream, Roach, Dace, Perch, Pike, Grayling, and Gudgeon. The trout fishing season runs from the15th of April to the 30th of September. Season rod fishing is available from Sunday to Wednesday, while day tickets or group bookings are available on Fridays and Saturdays, with some additional availability throughout the week. For the time being, coarse fishing will not be offered to allow the River to rest during the winter season and while restoration works are being carried out.
