Forrest Hills, also known as Conder Valley fly fishery, is a popular destination for both lake and river fly fishing. Located on the edge of the picturesque Forest of Bowland, this peaceful and beautiful location is just minutes away from junction 33 of the M6, offering excellent accessibility. For beginners interested in learning the art of fly-fishing, Forrest Hills provides tuition covering casting, imitative fly techniques, and fish handling. The facility also offers corporate training and teambuilding days that incorporate fly fishing as an activity. Open from dawn to dusk, Forrest Hills provides convenient amenities such as car parking and toilet facilities on-site. Additionally, most of the jetties are wheelchair accessible, making it inclusive for all visitors. The highlight of Forrest Hills is its 4-acre spring-fed lake, offering both jetty and bank fly fishing opportunities. With depths ranging from 3 to 18 feet, the lake boasts a diverse range of habitats that cater to both the fish and their food sources. The lake is regularly stocked every two weeks with an average of 2lb rainbow trout sourced from Dunsop Trout farm in the Forest of Bowland. Occasionally, anglers may also encounter tiger, blue, and brown trout in the waters of Forrest Hills. This variety adds to the excitement and challenge for fly-fishing enthusiasts of all levels.
