Foxhills Fishery, founded in 1982 by the Bull family, is a well-established fishing destination in Beacon Road. The family decided to sell the Foxhills Riding School and Livery Stables in 2011 to focus more on the Fishery. To make overseeing the business more convenient, a bungalow was built on site, providing anglers with better amenities. The Fishery boasts three pools stocked over a 30-year period with a variety of fish species, regularly checked by renowned fish doctor Dr. Bruno Broughton. The location, just one mile from Junction 7 of the M6, offers a peaceful atmosphere surrounded by 23 acres of fields. Foxhills Fishery no longer holds matches to accommodate regulars and ensure all three pools are available for pleasure fishing at all times. Rules are in place to maintain order and respect for the fish, including no night fishing, no unsupervised juniors, and no tolerance for bad behavior or littering. The Fishery closes at 7:30pm during the summer, with the family's dogs serving as vigilant guardians. While visitors are not allowed to bring their dogs, exceptions are made for guide dogs with prior arrangement. Overall, Foxhills Fishery aims to provide a pleasant and enjoyable fishing experience for all visitors who adhere to the rules.
