The reservoir is home to a variety of species including common and mirror carp, roach, rudd, and tench. The carp population in the reservoir is particularly impressive, with a large head of carp in the low double range making it a relatively "easy" carp water, while also offering anglers the chance to catch one of the elusive twenties. One of the most exciting aspects of fishing at Seabrook's reservoir is the productive and thrilling surface fishing for carp. Anglers can enjoy the challenge of tempting carp to take bait from the surface, adding an extra layer of excitement to their fishing experience. In addition to carp, Seabrook's reservoir is also a good general fishery, with a large volume of roach and rudd weighing up to 2lbs, as well as small carp and tench. Anglers can use a variety of baits such as meat, sweetcorn, pellet, and paste to tempt the smaller carp and larger roach and rudd. For catching small roach and rudd, maggot bait is recommended. Casters fished over hemp in the late autumn have been known to result in bags of larger roach. Overall, Seabrook's reservoir is a very popular fishery known for its diverse range of fish species and exciting fishing opportunities. Anglers of all skill levels can enjoy a rewarding fishing experience at this well-established and thriving water.
