Front Pit is a mature 3-acre gravel pit that has been transformed into a general fishery, boasting a variety of fish species including rudd, roach, perch, crucian carp, tench, and bream. Carp fishing is particularly popular here, with many anglers targeting carp weighing between 20lb to mid-30lbs, with the largest carp in the pit reaching an impressive 35lb. In 2019, 15 C4 and 6 C6 mirror carp weighing between 20-24lb were stocked in the pit. Additionally, pike weighing up to 20lbs and large eels have also been caught in this pit. On the other hand, Back Pit is a larger 5.5-acre water that has been developed as a specimen fishery, housing a variety of fish species that grow to specimen sizes. Anglers can expect to find roach and rudd weighing over 2lbs, tench up to 6lbs, and bream over 9lbs in this pit. Carp fishing is the main attraction here, with the average size of the fish exceeding 20lbs, with a large percentage tipping the scales over 25lbs and up to ten carp weighing between 30-35lbs or more. Pike weighing well over 20lbs have also been caught in this pit. Both pits offer a great fishing experience for anglers of all levels. Additionally, a toilet facility is conveniently located in the rear car park for the convenience of visitors.
