Information
The Bingley stretch of canal is approximately 3 miles long, running from Dowley Gap Top Lock to Swine Lane Bridge. It offers a variety of fish including Roach, Bream, Skimmers, Carp up to 25lb+, Perch, Gudgeon, Ide, Chub, and Pike (with lots of Jacks). This makes it a popular spot for anglers looking for a mixed fishery experience. Anglers are allowed to use a second rod for Carp Fishing in one swim, but only if they have obtained an Annual Carp Permit from the Club Secretary beforehand. It is important for anglers to follow "The Waterway Code" and not obstruct the towpath while fishing. Day tickets for fishing in this area can be purchased from local tackle shops and WH Kershaw in Bingley. The Bingley stretch is open for fishing all year round, making it a convenient option for anglers looking to enjoy a day out on the water.
