Newland Hall Country Estate, located just 4 miles west of Chelmsford, Essex, is a picturesque estate boasting a 15th-century Tudor Manor House surrounded by stunning gardens, a moat, and over 100 acres of grass and woodland. The estate includes four fishing lakes that offer superb angling opportunities amidst unspoiled countryside. Recently renovated, Newland Hall serves as a premier wedding venue, specializing in exclusive ceremonies and receptions. The Newland Hall Fishing Lakes cover approximately 10 acres in total and are meticulously managed, providing a tidy and well-stocked environment for anglers. The lakes are equipped with convenient amenities such as parking, toilets, drinking water, and "The Rig," a facility offering bait, tackle, and catering services. The Brook Lake, accommodating up to 50 anglers, is heavily stocked with common and mirror carp weighing up to 30lb, along with roach and perch. This lake is suitable for carp, match, or pleasure fishing, and no advance booking is required as fees are collected on-site by the bailiff. Similarly, the Moat Lake, pegged for 30 anglers, is densely stocked with common and mirror carp, as well as roach. Anglers can enjoy match or pleasure fishing here, and exclusive use bookings are available. Like the Brook Lake, no prior reservation is needed, and fees are collected on the bank. The Park Lake, with 15 pegs, offers a fishing experience similar to the Moat Lake, catering to pleasure fishing and small matches due to its high carp and roach density. Again, no advance booking is necessary, and anglers can pay on the bank. Exclusive use bookings are also an option. For the more serious carp angler, the Osiers Lake provides a specialist carp fishing experience with eight carefully positioned swims. This lake features common and mirror carp ranging from 15lb to 35lb, making it ideal for dedicated carp enthusiasts. Exclusive private sessions for up to eight anglers can be booked, and when not reserved, the lake is available on a day/night ticket basis. As with the other lakes, fees are collected on-site by the bailiff, and no advance booking is required unless reserving exclusive use.
