Busbridge Lake is a picturesque and exclusive private fishing spot spanning nearly 5 acres, which was acquired by the club in August 1989. While fishing is the main activity at the lake, its true charm lies in its remote and tranquil setting. Tucked away in a secluded valley on the outskirts of Godalming, Busbridge Lake is enveloped by lush, mature trees and adorned with clusters of lily pads that bloom throughout the warm months and into early fall. These pads, along with strategically placed fallen trees in the water, serve as popular hiding spots for the small number of mature carp that call the lake home. The lake features six easily accessible fishing spots for wheelchair users at pegs 1-6, while the remaining pegs require some assistance and have stairs leading down to the swims that are not suitable for wheelchairs. Additionally, there is a spacious car park near the entrance to accommodate visitors, with ample space available except during organized fishing matches or events. Overall, Busbridge Lake offers a serene and idyllic setting for anglers to enjoy a peaceful day of fishing in a beautiful natural environment.
