The South Lagoon at the Wyboston Lakes Complex is a 20-acre lake that was once a gravel quarry. Anglers, both members of Luton AC and day ticket holders, can enjoy fishing in any of the 28 designated pegs along the southern end of the lagoon up to the river inlet. This diverse lake is home to a variety of fish species, such as Bream reaching double figures, Tench over 10lb, Perch up to 4lb, Roach ranging from 1-2lb, Pike reaching 32lb, Zander up to 16lb, and Carp reaching a hefty 33lb. Rumors even suggest the presence of a massive 39lb Mirror Carp. Anglers have reported catching bags of over 100lb when hitting a shoal, making this lake a popular destination for both experienced anglers and beginners looking for a memorable fishing experience.
