Information

A1 Pits – South Muskham Fisheries is a fishing destination that offers a variety of lakes, each with its own unique fishing opportunities. The lakes include Pit 1, which is perfect for beginners and children as it is a mixed fishery with carp and pike. Pit 2 is stocked with small carp as well as larger carp over twenty pounds, along with double-figure pike and quality roach. Pit 3 was stocked with 500 carp, many of which have grown to double figures in weight, along with bream and pike. Pit 4 is known for its double-figure tench and bream, along with carp up to 35 pounds. Pit 5 is home to the largest carp and pike in the A1 Pits, with some pike transferred from Pit 6. Pit 6 is the largest lake and offers a challenge for carp anglers with carp up to 40 pounds. In addition to the lakes, South Muskham Fisheries offers fishing opportunities on the River Trent, where anglers can target specimen carp, barbel, chub, pike, and zander. The River Trent can be challenging, so appropriate gear is recommended. Nearby shops and takeaways are available in Newark, just a short drive away, and the bailiff can provide details. Keep an eye (or nose) out for the sweet, dry aroma in the air, indicating the presence of the nearby Sugar Factory. Overall, the A1 Pits offer a diverse range of fish species including pike, carp, tench, bream, barbel, chub, roach, rudd, dace, and zander, making it a great destination for anglers of all levels.
