Lonsdale Park provides an idyllic setting for fishing holidays, offering luxury accommodation and access to five private lakes spread across a scenic 40-acre estate. These lakes are carefully managed to cater to a variety of fishing preferences, making Lonsdale Park a versatile coarse fishing venue. The historical significance of the site adds to its charm, once being the location of the Lonsdale Brick and Tile Works owned by the Lonsdale Family since 1869. The lakes themselves are former clay pits, lending a rich color to the water, especially when the fish are active. Some underwater features are remnants of the industrial past, adding character and interest to the fishing experience. Beyond its fishing appeal, Lonsdale Park is recognized as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) by Natural England. This designation reflects the estate's commitment to conservation, resulting in a thriving ecosystem with rare bird species and orchids. Guests at Lonsdale Park enjoy exclusive access to the lakes from April to October, ensuring a tranquil and private fishing experience. During the rest of the year, the lakes can be booked for private events or matches, with a limited number of day fishers allowed from November to March. The estate prioritizes a relaxed atmosphere, often allowing guests to have entire lakes to themselves on certain days. Additionally, each accommodation unit comes with its own private fishing pegs, conveniently located just a short distance away for a seamless fishing experience.
