Errwood Reservoir is a stunning location in the Goyt Valley near Buxton, offering fantastic fly fishing opportunities in a breathtaking natural setting. Managed by the Errwood Fly Fishing Club, their goal is to provide top-notch Reservoir Trout Fishing in the North West of England while promoting a love for fly-fishing, nature, and environmental conservation. Membership at Errwood Fly Fishing Club is limited, but day tickets are available for a 3 fish catch & take ticket, allowing fishing from sunrise to sunset with unlimited catch & releases. Anglers can enjoy fishing for both Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout in the two reservoirs, Errwood and Fernilee, offering diverse fishing scenarios for anglers of all levels. Various fishing spots around Errwood Reservoir, such as Tower Bank, The Sailing Club, The Quarry, Keyhole Bank, Broken Tree, The Larder, The Island, Duffers Bank, Shooters Bridge, West Bank, Gilman Point, and The Memorial, provide different fishing experiences with unique underwater features and fish habitats. Fernilee Reservoir, located nearby in the Peak District National Park, is a drinking-water reservoir with natural stock fish, including brown trout, rainbow trout, and perch. Fishing at Fernilee is currently limited to EFFC Club members, who can use spinning as the only fishing method. Overall, Errwood and Fernilee Reservoirs offer anglers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature while enjoying a fulfilling fishing experience in the North West of England.
