Information

Holme Fen Fishery, located near Colne in Cambridgeshire, is now open for business and is currently taking lake exclusive bookings for 2021. Managed by Martin Dawson and Mike Hawes since 2011, the fishery has been developed from a gravel extraction site and is designed as a specimen carp, day ticket fishery where anglers can regularly break their personal best records. The Meadows, a 26-acre lake, is primarily available for lake exclusive bookings for up to 10 anglers on a weekly basis, with pre-booked sessions already filled. However, remaining slots at The Meadows as well as bookings for Poachers Pool, a 4-acre lake with approximately 120 carp up to 38lb, are available for individual bookings of 48, 96, or 144 hours starting on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The beautiful landscape at Holme Fen Fishery has been extensively landscaped with conservation in mind, featuring oversized swims for angler comfort, Norfolk reed, bullrush, lilies, and hundreds of trees planted around the complex to create a stunning environment. All banks are grassed, and a secure fence has been installed around the entire perimeter for added security. An investment has been made in new stock to complement the existing original carp, with all fish uniquely chipped for monitoring growth rates, stock details, and security purposes. A feeding plan developed in consultation with Premium Carp Fishing has been put in place to ensure the health and growth of the stock, resulting in excellent condition and growth rates for the fish. With a focus on providing a premium fishing experience, Holme Fen Fishery offers anglers the opportunity to catch some impressive carp and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the complex. Whether booking a lake exclusive session at The Meadows or opting for individual bookings at Poachers Pool, visitors can look forward to a memorable fishing experience and the chance to potentially break some personal best records. Holme Fen Fishery invites anglers to come and enjoy their stay while aiming to catch that elusive PB.
